The National Testing Agency (NTA) is officially releasing the UGC NET December 2025 Result on February 4, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examinations conducted between December 31, 2025, and January 7, 2026, can now access their subject-wise scores and qualifying status online.
How to Check UGC NET December 2025 Result
To view your scorecard, visit the official portals and follow these steps:
- Navigate to the official UGC NET website or the NTA Result Portal.
- Click on the active link titled “UGC NET December 2025 Result/Scorecard”.
- Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth (or password) as per your admit card.
- Input the security pin (captcha) and click Submit.
- Download the PDF scorecard and print a copy for future faculty recruitment or PhD admission processes.
UGC NET Cut-Off & Qualifying Criteria
The NTA has also released the subject-wise and category-wise cut-off marks alongside the results.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: General category candidates must score at least 40% aggregate in both papers, while reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwD) require 35%.
- Final Cut-Off: Actual qualification depends on the top 6% of appearing candidates for Assistant Professor and a strictly higher merit rank for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
- Expected Ranges: For popular subjects like Education and Political Science, the UR JRF cut-off is typically expected to range between 186–230 marks.
Important Details on Your Scorecard
Ensure your downloaded NTA Scorecard contains accurate information for these fields:
- Candidate’s Name and Roll Number.
- Marks obtained in Paper 1 and Paper 2.
- Total Percentile and Aggregate Score.
- Qualifying Status (Assistant Professor only or JRF & Assistant Professor).
Validity of the Result
- Assistant Professor: The NET certificate is valid for a lifetime.
- JRF Award Letter: The fellowship award is valid for three years from the date of result declaration to initiate research work.
