Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) is a university-level common entrance exam organized by Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the affiliated colleges/institutes and University schools & off-campuses. The exam is conducted for admission to B.Tech, B. Pharmacy, MCA, MBA, MBA (T&HM) in HPTU and its affiliated colleges.
HPCET Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for HPCET 2024 include various factors like the qualifying examination, the maximum age, subjects that should be there in the qualifying examination, and so on. The eligibility conditions of HPCET 2024 are important to be complied with because otherwise candidates will not be considered for B.Tech admissions in HPTU.
The result of HPCET 2024 contains details about the marks secured by the candidates in the entrance exam along with their qualifying status. On the basis of the marks obtained in HPCET, the Himachal Pradesh merit list will be prepared.
The counselling process of HPCET 2024 will be released by HPTU on its official website. To participate in the counselling of HPCET 2024, candidates will have to get themselves and enter their choice of courses and colleges. Candidates declared qualified the HPCET exam are eligible to participate in the counselling process. You need 30 or 40 percent marks minimum to Qulify this examination for the Counseling process.
What is HPCET Syllabus?
The syllabus for HPCET varies depending on the program for which the candidate is applying. Generally, the syllabus covers topics in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and General Knowledge.
The syllabus for admission to the B.Tech program is based on the intermediate level and consists of three sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The syllabus for admission to the M.Tech program is based on graduate-level Percentage obtained in B.tech or B Pharmacy for M Pharmacy courses.
What’s is HPCET Exam Pattern?
The exam pattern for HPCET varies depending on the program for which the candidate is applying. The exam is conducted in offline mode where candidates will be provided with OMR sheets. The duration of the exam is 2 hours. The question paper will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
For admission to the B.Tech B Pharmacy program, there will be Four sections in the paper that will be based upon the stream and level candidate has applied for i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics Biology.
The syllabus for HPCET 2024 for an undergraduate level will comprise of the 10+2 level of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Biology. Mathematics or Biology is optional for the Medical or Non Medical Students.
